Whilst many health insurance products on the market are similar in their benefit offering, what sets WPA aside from the rest is our dedication in putting customers at the centre of all that we do. With most WPA health insurance plans you will find a range of benefits that can be tailored to suit your needs. Most people choose to add an element of out-patient (consultations and tests), cancer cover and mental health treatment to the core benefit. Core cover is usually for in-patient treatments, which gives you benefit should you be admitted to hospital for a planned procedure.
The cost of any health insurance plan can vary, depending on a number of factors. The main ones are your age, where you live and what benefit options you choose to have on your cover. Making a claim with WPA is simple, you can start a health insurance claim using the WPA Health app, on our secure My WPA website or on the phone. With health insurance claims, we ask that all are pre-authorised before you incur any costs and eligible invoices are paid directly by WPA to your provider. Cash Plan FAQs
The main difference between health insurance and cash plans is the benefits available. Health insurance policies tend to have higher benefit limits and cover a wider range of treatment, such as needing to go into hospital for a procedure. Alternatively, cash plans are there to provide cash back for everyday medical expenses, like a trip to the dentist or optician.
This will depend on the level of cover chosen and the treatment you have had. Traditionally cash plans are designed to reimburse everyday medical expenses, up to a capped amount, so won't pay in full for larger treatment costs.

Dental Plan FAQs
Yes, the maximum joining age for most of our cash plans and dental plans is 65.
No, WPA dental plans can cover NHS or private dental fees, although some of our policies have specific levels that may only cover NHS treatment.
No, dental plans will only cover routine check-ups and treatments with further benefits for emergency dental care. They will not cover any cosmetic work.
