WPA are looking to expand its Personnel Services Team (PST) with an experienced Employee Relation Specialist, to support the team and wider organisation in delivering exceptional HR support and maintaining positive working relationships between the company and our employees. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and engaging professional who thrives on building positive connections, resolving complex employee issues with fairness and empathy, and driving initiatives that foster a collaborative and inclusive workplace culture.
As a key member of PST, you will play a vital role in shaping and supporting our employees. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, managing employee relations including absence management, supporting internal payroll processes by providing HR information, and effective use of HR systems and technologies. You will also contribute to the success of our induction programme by delivering training sessions on our company policies and procedures, with a confident and engaging approach when needed. This is a varied and influential role, where your expertise will help drive continuous improvement and enhancement to the experiences of our employees across our organisation.
You will be highly organised, with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Using your own initiative comes naturally to you and you are comfortable working independently, while also following direction and thriving as a collaborative team player. Strong interpersonal, empathetic and communication skills are essential, as you will be building relationships across the organisation. Confidence in using Excel for reporting and analysis at a high level is essential, and CIPD Level 5 qualification is required in demonstrating your strong understanding of HR best practices and principles, alongside previous employee relation experience. You will also have strong presentation training skills.
