Fee agreed

We have asked specialists to confirm whether they will charge within our agreed fee allowances. We have done this so that we can give our members the assurance their treatment costs will be met in full. By using the WPA Healthcare Finder, members can see at a glance if the specialist has signed up to this agreement with us or if a shortfall is likely. Any shortfalls are usually passed on to members.

Our members rightfully expect us to manage claims costs effectively and reasonably and to have access to key information, so they can make informed decisions when choosing a healthcare provider. Equally, we wish to set our fees at a fair rate for the specialists caring for our members, which are still amongst the most generous in the market.

We believe in the freedom to choose

In the UK, we benefit from one of the best healthcare systems in the world. But sometimes you need more, such as avoiding long waiting lists to gain quicker access to treatment.

Some health insurers limit your freedom of choice. We believe that is wrong. It is your health, so you should be in control. We prioritise clinical best practice over commerciality. All of our members are free to choose when, where and who provides them with treatment.
