Customer Support Officer (CSO)

Starting salary is a minimum of £24,912, rising to £26,088 post probation. Full-time or flexible working patterns to match your personal circumstances.
Permanent roles based in Taunton, Somerset, close to J25 of the M5.

The role

Our heritage dates back to 1901, and as a not-for-profit organisation we are one of the UK's most long-standing and respected Health Insurers. Continually striving to outshine the competition, we have won many awards for our excellent Customer Service and advanced use of technology. In 2022, for the third year in a row, WPA won "Health Insurance Provider of the Year" at the Moneyfacts Consumer Awards and in March 2021, we were recognised as "Employer of the Year 2021" at the Somerset Business Awards. Our ethos is to treat others as we would wish to be treated ourselves, this includes our customers, employees and our local community.

You will be the first point of contact for all customer enquiries which will predominately be telephone based, and you will deliver a service which is top notch (we don’t just say we will deliver good service we actually deliver!).  Ultimately you will play an important part of helping our customers at their time of need, ensuring that they have access to the right treatment.

At WPA, we understand that career progression is important.  Within the Business Units, those with the right attitude, skills and experience will actively be encouraged to work alongside other customer facing areas to gain cross company experience – with this, comes progression and reward.

If you are interested in finding out more about this exciting role, please contact the Personnel Services Team by emailing careers@wpa.org.uk - all enquiries will be replied to.

What can you bring to WPA?

This is a great opportunity for someone who has a passion for delivering excellent customer service and has great communication skills which are clear and confident.  You will be resilient, are emotionally intelligent (have an empathetic and caring nature), well organised, have an eye for detail, and someone who will always represent WPA professionally.  You will have a track record of being a great asset to any team you have been part of.  If you have previous experience of working in a telephoned based role, or experience in insurance or financial services, that would be a plus, but not essential.

A great career. A great place to work.

Your long-term commitment, passion and desire to always be the best you can, will be rewarded. We will help you to develop the career you have been waiting for.
