= Covered subject to your chosen excess of either £3,000 or £5,000 (excess does not apply to the NHS (cancer) Cash Benefit or Hospice Donation benefit)
= Not covered

  1. Based on 55 year old non smoker with £5,000 excess with Premium Hospitals not selected. £42.87 for 65 year old and £64.62 for 75 year old. For prices, click quote.
  2. See our guideline of customary & reasonable fees. WPA actively manages your claims and most specialists´ and anaesthetists´ fees are within these limits. If their charges are higher, and they have advised you before the treatment takes place, they may require you to pay the difference.
  3. Where you receive treatment (as an NHS patient) in one of the defined London NHS Hospitals, the benefit limits shown on the table will increase by £100 per day/night/session up to the same maximum annual limits shown. For a full list visit wpa.org.uk/central
  4. MRI, CT and PET scans only.
  5. This includes Acupuncture, Chiropody/Podiatry, Chiropractic Care, Dietary Services, Homeopathy, Osteopathy, Physiotherapy and Speech & Language Therapy.
  6. Cancers will not be covered which are diagnosed or for which symptoms develop within the first 90 days of the start of a new policy.
  7. WPA will fund the use of advanced anti-cancer (targeted/biological therapies) treatments which are not readily available on the NHS with our prior approval and when given with curative intent.
  8. The emergency abroad extra is not a substitute for a comprehensive travel insurance plan. Travel insurance typically provides wider benefits. However, unlike most travel insurance, it covers eligible medical conditions that arise after you take out your WPA policy, but not conditions that you have undergone treatment for in the 6 months prior to travelling. You are not covered for travel to the USA and its dependency Puerto Rico.
