What´s covered with Dental Insurance

You will receive a FREE high quality Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) with your dental policy.

dental benefits  
general dental treatment
Performed by a registered dental surgeon or dental hygienist in general practice (a dentist´s chair). Includes check-ups, fillings and scale & polish. A 3 month qualifying period applies.
75% of costs up to £250
dental emergencies
Incidents of acute pain, swelling or a dental haemorrhage requiring an emergency dental appointment. A 14 day qualifying period applies.
75% of costs up to £1,000
(up to £250 per episode, maximum 4 per year)
dental injuries 1
Hospital treatment under the care of a Consultant Oral/Maxillo-Facial Surgeon where injury has been caused by an external blow to the face, teeth or jaw.
Up to £20,000
defined serious oral problems 2
Hospital treatment under the care of a recognised Consultant Oral/Maxillo-Facial Surgeon for any of the defined conditions.

hospital cash benefit
A cash benefit for each night spent as an NHS patient in an NHS hospital, without charge, instead of being admitted to hospital as a private patient.
£200 for each night you spend in an NHS hospital (up to a
maximum of 10 nights)
parent & child
The accommodation charge made by the hospital for one parent/child to stay in hospital with your child/parent, on the specialist´s recommendation.

(patient must be covered by the policy)

10% discount off the cost of a full health assessment or a well man/well woman screen at Nuffield Hospitals. Discounted gym membership with Nuffield Health and
Wellbeing centres. Details of these additional benefits will be provided on joining WPA.

1. This benefit is provided following a dental emergency appointment or attendance at an Accident & Emergency Department. Evidence of this will be required.

2. Treatment of oral cancer including reconstructive plastic surgery - Treatment of tumour of the mouth or jaw - Treatment of conditions of the salivary glands - Surgical removal of retained buried roots - Surgery to the temporomandibular joint - Treatment of bone cyst of the jaw (i.e. not tooth or gum cysts).

3. The specialist must not be related to you/the patient or recommended by a dentist/specialist who is a member of your/the patient´s family.

All benefits apply per person per group policy year.
