There is a choice of 3 levels of cover all with a FREE high quality Employee Assistance Programme (EAP).

Face to face counselling
Counselling professionals from Validium. Confidential counselling over the phone on personal issues, and where clinically appropriate, onward referral to face to face counselling services. This service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Scans & screens 2
A choice of a health screen (e.g. well man or well woman check) or benefit towards an MRI/CT or ultrasound if arranged by your specialist
Will provide access to advanced cancer drugs not available on the NHS. There is a 90 day deferment period for this Extra. This benefit is available up to your 66th birthday.

Essential european cover
Provides supplementary EHIC cover in the EEA including Switzerland and Norway. Covers air ambulance (where medically necessary), hospital costs, x-rays, GP fees 24/7 international telephone support. Pre-existing medical conditions are not covered. All emergency treatment must be pre-authorised.
Cosmetic surgery
Provides private reconstructive plastic surgery following a scar left on the face or upper body after an NHS operation. There is a 30 day qualifying period for Cosmetic Surgery. Deliberate self-inflicted injuries, disfigurement through illness or treatment received are not covered.
Allergy testing
Tests for allergic reactions or food intolerances carried out at a recognised allergy clinic.
Dental trauma
This takes care of restorative dental treatment needed as a result of an injury to the face, teeth or jaw. You must visit an A&E department or a dentist (and call WPA) within 72 hours of the injury.
Personal accident
If a staff member has an accident or injury leading to the loss of sight or the loss of (or loss of the use of) a limb.

Specialist charges for colonoscopy as a day-patient/out-patient

A 90 day qualifying period applies for companies with less than 10 employees on cover. A maximum of 5 children can be covered on this option up to the age of 18 when the full premium will be charged. No further benefit is available once a diagnosis is made or the employee has reached the benefit limit. This option is not available if an employee holds a PMI group scheme with WPA. If after taking this option you wish to upgrade your employee(s) to a PMI group scheme with WPA, they will be required to declare their full medical history and personal exclusions may be applied. The employee must contact us before undergoing treatment so we may authorise their claim.

Discounts on gym membership & health screens

Your Group Scheme members will also benefit from lower gym membership fees with Nuffield Health and Wellbeing centres, as well as a 10% discount off the cost of a full health assessment or a well man/well woman screen at Nuffield Hospitals. Details will be provided on joining WPA.

Benefits are per person per Group Scheme year and up to the annual limits shown (with the exception of mycancerdrugs which has a lifetime benefit limit).

1. 75% or 100% reimbursement available.

2. We will cover one health screen per person as part of the Scans and Screens benefit every two Group Scheme years.

All premiums shown are per Group Scheme member and include Insurance Premium Tax (IPT) at 12%. This is subject to change should the level of tax change.
