Senior Database Administrator/DBA - SQL Server
£40,000+ per annum - Permanent - Taunton
We are looking for a Senior Database Administrator/DBA to be based at its head office in Taunton.
- Strong Microsoft SQL Server experience (2005 and 2008)
- Database architecture and design
- SQL Server performance tuning, troubleshooting and optimisation
- Knowledge of Windows Server 2003 & 2008 System Administration
- Setup, configuration and monitoring of SQL Server 2005/2008
- Backup, restore, log shipping and business continuity techniques (including clustering technologies)
- Preventative maintenance / capacity planning
- Manage permissions, roles and security of the MS SQL database
- Experience of data warehousing projects, including design, creation, and modification of SSAS and SSIS packages
- MCDBA / MCITP or equivalent certification desirable
The successful candidate will be flexible, self-motivated and results-driven and will enjoy being part of a small team working on a number of projects and supporting the business. The team is responsible for all live, test and development database environments for core business, ecommerce, reporting and business intelligence.
