BI Analyst - Permanent - Taunton

WPA are seeking a Business Information Analyst to join our Pricing and BI Team. In this project based role you will extract, analyse and convert data into meaningful and actionable insights to inform all areas of business activity and decision making.

In summary, our ideal candidate will have the following:

  • A high level degree in a numerate subject and knowledge of advanced statistical and analytical techniques;
  • A strong working knowledge of data extraction and analytical tools is desirable, including SAS and T-SQL. A working knowledge of Excel and other MS applications is essential;
  • You will have strong communication skills and be confident presenting to senior management, with the ability to influence both technical and non-technical stakeholders;
  • You will thrive in an environment that encourages you to pro-actively problem solve.

Actuary

WPA are seeking an Actuary to join our team. In this project based role you will be instrumental in developing the actuarial function across the business.

In summary, our ideal candidate will have the following:

  • General insurance expertise. Knowledge and experience of GLM modelling. SAS and T-SQL experience is advantageous;
  • Ability to blend deep technical knowledge with broad business understanding;

Customer Support Officers - Permanent - Taunton
Full Time - Monday to Friday, 11am to 7pm

WPA are seeking team members who have a passion for working with people and delivering outstanding customer service.

These roles are the main point of contact for our customers, answering their telephone calls and handling the general administration of their policies. WPA is known for our customer service and we believe that our customers deserve the best service possible. This is where the CSO role is crucial because you have to be great at talking and listening to our customers. We treat our customers as we would want to be treated ourselves, so building up a good relationship with them is key. Every customer deserves to receive a quality service and at WPA, we understand that every customer is different. These positions are primarily Monday to Friday, but some Saturday morning cover may be required on a rotational basis.

In summary, our ideal candidate will have the following:

  • In return for the excellent package that is available, you must be committed, loyal and hardworking due to the standards being high;
  • You must have a passion for delivering excellent customer service at all times and able to understand the implications of getting it wrong;
  • Attitude is everything, you must never go home at the end of the day thinking you could have done more;

  • 5 GCSE´s (or equivalent) at C or above to include Maths and English.

Part Time - Monday to Friday, 4pm to 7pm plus Saturday, 9am to 12pm (optional)

Automated Test Analyst - Permanent - Taunton

WPA are seeking a professional, committed and hard-working, Automated Test Analyst to join our busy and innovative IT team. This position involves hands on involvement with our developers and our team of manual testers.

We see you as a ´Testing Evangelist´, seeking to automate testing wherever you can, reducing risk and driving forward an architecture and test environment that supports continuous deployment.

In summary, our ideal candidate will have the following:

  • Must be able to work in a very busy and demanding work environment;
  • Will have experience of all things Agile;
  • Tenacity, attention to detail, remaining motivated and being an effective communicator;
  • Appropriate testing qualifications, a deep understanding of technologies and frameworks for testing HTML/CSS/XML/SQL/JavaScript/C#/.NET/WPF/iOS applications;
  • Experience in the use of automated testing tools (such as Automated QA/Visual Studio Test Professional/Selenium).

Senior Clinical Case-Manager - Permanent - Taunton

WPA are seeking a professional Senior Clinical Case-Manager. This position involves direct liaison with patients and specialists which will expose you to a variety of complex medical disciplines, which will allow you to utilise the skills you already have and the new ones you will learn, whilst managing our complex claims. These claims can be challenging and of complex medical nature, requiring careful analysis, clinical decision making and often requiring, liaison with our Chief Medical Officer.

You will work as part of a team who come from a variety of medical backgrounds, who have already made the transition into this environment and now have successful and growing careers. Those undertaking this role will have regular, detailed clinical training from a variety of practicing consultants which all helps to provide a better clinical outcome for the customer.

In summary, our ideal candidate will have the following:

  • Life Science/Medical qualification (degree level or equivalent) or significant experience in a medical field;
  • Case-management/planning experience including direct customer/patient contact;
  • Experience in either Oncology and/or Genetics or Cardiovascular would be advantageous;
  • Presentation/training skills;
  • Competent in Microsoft Office;
  • Good communication skills, an eye for detail and a strong team player.
