Deputy Compliance Manager - Permanent position £25k - £30k with the potential for an annual bonus

Please note that this role is being advertised as a Full Time position, but consideration would be given to an exceptional part-time applicant, at a minimum of 28 hrs per week.

We have a strong culture of treating customers fairly. As part of our commitment to managing conduct risks, the Legal and Compliance Team is looking for a Deputy Compliance Manager.

This position involves supporting the General Manager, Risk and Compliance in establishing and maintaining the regulatory landscape at WPA. You will need to have a good awareness of our regulators´ requirements (ICO, FCA and the PRA), and be able to interpret their published rules and guidance to provide concise, pragmatic advice to managers and our Appointed Representatives.

You will ideally also have a good understanding of financial crime risks, and of related legislation around Fraud, Bribery, Anti-Money Laundering and Anti-Competitive Behaviour.

The role also involves carrying out compliance checks against the procedures in our Compliance Manual. You must therefore be an excellent communicator who has good attention to detail and can produce clear and concise reports for our internal Compliance Monitoring Group.

The ideal candidate will have the following;

  • Experience of working in financial services, gained in an environment that has a strong TCF culture;
  • Awareness of the importance of delivering excellent outcomes for customers;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Good understanding of conduct risk, data protection and the regulatory framework;
  • Experience in delivering training;
  • Excellent skills in the use of Microsoft Word, and Excel;
  • Able to manage own workloads.

Customer Support Officers - Permanent - Taunton
Full Time (35 hours) - Monday to Friday, 8am to 7pm (on a shift pattern) and Saturday 9am - 12pm (rotational)

WPA are seeking team members who have a passion for working with people and delivering outstanding customer service.

These roles are the main point of contact for our customers, answering their telephone calls and handling the general administration of their policies. WPA is known for our customer service and we believe that our customers deserve the best service possible. This is where the CSO role is crucial because you have to be great at talking and listening to our customers. We treat our customers as we would want to be treated ourselves, so building up a good relationship with them is key. Every customer deserves to receive a quality service and at WPA, we understand that every customer is different. These positions are primarily Monday to Friday, but some Saturday morning cover may be required on a rotational basis.

In summary, our ideal candidate will have the following:

  • In return for the excellent package that is available, you must be committed, loyal and hardworking due to the standards being high;
  • You must have a passion for delivering excellent customer service at all times and able to understand the implications of getting it wrong;
  • Attitude is everything, you must never go home at the end of the day thinking you could have done more;
  • Able to achieve targets to a high standard through your ability to multitask;
  • 5 GCSE´s (or equivalent) at C or above to include Maths and English.
