Customer Support Officer (CSO)

Salary: c£19k Pro Rata (£9.86 per hour)
Hours: 37 hours per week
Duration: Permanent
Location: Taunton

These roles are the main point of contact for our customers, answering their telephone calls and handling the general administration of their policies. WPA is known for our customer service and we believe that our customers deserve the best service possible. This is where the CSO role is crucial because you have to be great at talking and listening to our customers. We treat our customers as we would want to be treated ourselves, so building a good relationship with them is key. Every customer deserves to receive a quality service and at WPA, we understand that every customer is different. These positions are primarily Monday to Friday (office hours are 8am to 7pm), but some Saturday morning cover (9:00am - 12:00 noon) will be required on a rotational basis.

In summary, our ideal candidate will have the following:

  • Desire to be part of a team where the delivery of excellent customer service is key and always willing to go the extra mile;
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent customer service skills and a professional telephone manner;
  • Able to communicate with customers on a varied number of issues and having the ability to be empathetic is hugely important;
  • The right attitude, you must never go home at the end of the day thinking you could have done more;
  • Able to learn new systems and processes quickly in order to be able to make an immediate impact to team;
  • Attention to detail and excellent listening skills with the ability to take and relay information accurately;
  • Good knowledge of IT systems including email, internet and word;
  • Highly organised and has the ability to achieve targets to a high standard;
  • 5 GCSE´s (or equivalent) at C or above to include Maths and English.

Negotiator

Salary: Dependent upon skills and experience (c£21K-£24K)
Hours: 37 hours per week
Duration: Permanent
Location: Taunton

We are looking for a dynamic individual, with good analytical and excel skills, who are comfortable communicating with high level contacts in securing competitive prices and agreements (new and renewal) with our Hospital, Clinic and Scanning Centre Providers. The successful candidate will manage their own geographical area and be responsible for an overall spend of £5.2m, which will require on occasion external visits. Providing administrative support to the business on all provider related matters, including dealing with Providers directly to resolve account queries is an essential part of this role. Trending and analysing invoice assessment shortfalls and drive suggestions for improvement in Provider billing, WPA´s assessment of invoices and increase automation of invoice settlement is also required.

Business Development Consultant

Salary: Dependent upon skills and experience (c£21K-£24K)
Hours: 37 hours per week

We are looking for a confident and dynamic individual to join the Business Development Division focusing on new business for the Enterprise Division, primarily via the broker channel but also supporting Healthcare Partners. The main purpose of this role is to develop and manage relationships with intermediaries with a view to generating new business for WPA and taking ownership in all matters connected to quotations. This will require gaining intermediaries’ trust, providing training and demonstrating a knowledge of WPA products, pricing and processes.

In summary, our ideal candidate will have the following:

  • Confidence when communicating with intermediaries and are professional at all times;
  • Ability to establish potential new business leads and professionally follow up on quotes submitted;
  • Able to deliver training on WPA products and processes to intermediaries and be an excellent ambassador for WPA;

Image Management Customer Support Officer/Machine Operator

Salary: c£17K
Hours: 37 hours per week
Duration: Permanent
Location: Taunton

Image Management are responsible for incoming post distribution, document scanning, archiving, print production, mail packing, postal services, reception and switchboard. This department plays a key role in the business, both internally and externally. We are looking for someone to join this team who is passionate about delivering the daily aspects of this role and shares responsibility for operating the packing machine. This position is primarily Monday to Friday (office hours are 7am to 5pm), which will be worked on a rotational basis.

  • Able to operate machines safely and follow appropriate guidance;

Clinical Support Specialist

Salary: Depending on skills and experience after successful probation
Hours: Full time (37 hours) ideally, but would consider part time for the right candidates (Monday to Friday)

Working within WPA´s Centre of Clinical Excellence involves direct liaison with patients and specialists exposing you to a variety of complex medical disciplines, which will allow you to utilise the skills you already have and the new ones you will learn, whilst managing our complex medical cases. We are open to talking to people from the following clinical backgrounds, including oncology, genetics, musculoskeletal disorders, ophthalmology, cardiology and critical care.

Our medical cases can be challenging and complex, requiring careful analysis, clinical decision making and regularly liaising with our Chief Medical Officer and Medical Advisors, all of whom are practicing within the NHS and private sectors. You will work as part of a highly professional, qualified and experienced team who come from a variety of clinical and academic backgrounds, who have already made the transition into this exciting and interesting office environment.

Those undertaking this role will have regular, detailed clinical training from a variety of practicing consultants. This includes regular visits to surgical theatres and treatment centres, all with a view to increasing medical knowledge and building relationships with consultants and surgeons, to provide a better clinical outcome for the patient/customer.

In summary, our ideal candidate will have the following:

  • Life Science/Medical qualification (degree level or equivalent) or significant experience in a medical field;
  • Case-management/planning experience including direct customer/patient contact;
  • Experience/knowledge in a particular and relevant medical/academic field;
  • Presentation/training skills/ability to work with people at all levels;
  • Competent in Microsoft Office;
  • Passionate about providing excellent service to both external and internal customers.
  • Good communication skills, an eye for detail and a strong team player.
