Protecting your security when making a claim

When we invite you to submit personal information we use industry standard Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) 128-bit encryption technology.

In addition, here are ways we also protect your security:

  • Look for the padlock - When you log on to this claims service youre always in a secure session this is shown by the padlock symbol. It means that your personal information will be coded before it leaves your computer.
  • Automatic log off - If after logging on, you don´t use our system for 10 minutes, you will automatically be logged off. This security measure ensures that if youve left your computer or have forgotten to log off, theres much less chance of anyone else accessing your plan, this is particularly important if you are using a public computer, such as an internet cafe.

To eliminate this risk completely, please make sure you never leave your computer unattended while logged on, and always log off when youve finished.
  • Cookies / Tracking mechanism - These online claim pages do not have cookies enabled and so cannot be retraced even if you are using a public computer. However, we always recommend that you sign out and close down the browser before leaving any computer.
  • Phishing - Never reveal your personal information to anyone else.

Phishing scams are attempts at identity theft where criminals attempt to lure you into visiting counterfeit websites where your personal information (such as user names and passwords) or credit card information can be collected for criminal use.

Internet browsers such as Internet Explorer and Firefox 3 have built-in filters to warn or to block you from potentially harmful web sites.
  • WPA will never ask you to supply us with your sign-in information when making a claim as we already hold this information.
  • You do not need to sign-in to make a claim though you will have to sign-in later to track your claim. To do so you will have to register on our web site.
